  • New Client Consultation and Treatment - 75 minutes ($105)

This 75-minute session is specifically for new clients. It allows us adequate time to take your health history, find out about your needs, priorities and any concerns, carry out a preliminary assessment which may include movement and orthopaedic testing to assess what may be contributing to any muscle tension, weakness, pain or movement restriction.  We then formulate a treatment plan, provide treatment and recommend self-management strategies, which may include exercises that you can do at home.  All new clients need to book this session for their initial appointment.

Please note: If you have a voucher, please book an appointment for the duration specified on your voucher.

  • Kinesiotaping ($15 per area)

Kinesiotaping is a taping technique that provides support and stability to muscles and joints, helping to facilitate the body's natural healing process.  It can be used to increase or decrease muscle tone, support joint function, and reduce pain and swelling.  Useful for conditions such as plantar fasciitis, shoulder pain, tennis elbow, low back strain, knee pain and bruising, to name a few.  You can find out more about kinesiotaping here.

If you are unsure about what duration might suit your needs, please feel free to get in touch before making a booking.

Kinesiotaping may be done in a massage therapy session, in which case the cost is $10, in addition to the cost of the massage therapy session.

  • Self-care items (prices vary)

We sell Shakti Mats and cushions, wheat bags and a range of massage balls and foot rollers.  Shakti Mats are acupressure mats.  They are covered with 4000-8000 small plastic spikes (depending on mat grade). Lying on a shakti mat may help to relax body and mind, aid a deeper, more restful sleep and assist with decreasing muscle tension.  You can find out more about shakti mats - how they work, how to use them and conditions where use is not advised - here.  Wheat bags can be a nice way of getting some heat into an area to help relieve muscle ache, increase blood flow to an area and provide some comfort. Our wheat bags are kiwi-made and come in a range of lovely cotton fabrics filled with NZ-grown wheat. Massage balls may help to relieve "knotted" areas by providing novel input to the nervous system to reduce muscle tension. The massage balls we stock include spiky PVC massage balls of varying sizes.  Contact us to inquire about pricing or purchase an item.
